The Chairman of the Community & Vocational Service Committee for the 2001/2002 year is the hard working Rotarian Steve Lunn, who has been a member of the Community Service Committee since joining Rotary and
who always puts 100% into the work of this Committee. This year his projects include:-
- The Community Award, which will recognise an individual's selfless service to the community on a voluntary basis.
- Senior Citizen's Evening - scheduled to take place in May, 2002 on a date to be announced.
- Kids Out, 2002 - supporting, once again, the Distict Project.

- Talking Newspaper - It was agreed that this project must continue and the Committee will continue their involvement and look at the possibility of purchasing new recording equipment.
- T.B. Alert - this is a joint RIBI and T.B. Society project to provide leaflets raising awareness of the increase in T.B. in this country.
- C.D.ROM (Citizenship) - the Committee will look at the possibility of providing these to local schools if they are compatible with the curriculum.
