it was a wet morning, and I didn't see much of the Ben Nevis and Glen Coe area. Got to Fort William at lunch time - still raining.
From Fort William, the road climbs a bit into cattle country, towards Spean Bridge
where this Commando Memorial is sited. Tough training country. The road then falls again to Loch Lochy
and then Loch Oich, where this early example of a balanced cantilever was built.
Finally on to Fort Augustus at the bottom of Loch Ness. Another camp site that wasn't overcrowded.
I can't now remember what I cooked that night; it will have been rice with a tin of something, and it was fine!
