The
day started pleasant and still - ideal weather for midges. Once I was on the move, they weren't a problem. Perhaps these are the guys who attract them.
Although the topography was now getting seriously hilly, the roads mostly followed river courses and lochs, making the going gentle. This shot is along Loch Eck, a little north of where I'd camped.
Then it was a few miles across to Loch Fyne. Inverary is visible across the water, but it's 15 miles by road
via the head of the loch where the famous Loch Fyne Oyster Smokery is based.
I stopped in Inveraray for provisions and then continued, clocking up a decent 72 miles for the day.
