Catherine chose our route using a combination of the Sherpa website, maps, and Coast to Coast Walk by Paul Hannon. We decided to stay in Youth Hostels in The Lakes, and B&B's the rest of the route apart from three blissful nights in Catherine's cousin's cottage.
