1. The applicant must be 18 years of age or over.
2. The hirer shall ensure that only those areas
detailed on the booking form are used for the purpose of the hiring.
3. A deposit of £30 shall be paid at the time of
booking which shall be forfeit if the booking is cancelled by the hirer and the
Management Committee are unable to obtain an alternative booking. The balance
shall be paid by the date shown on the booking form.
4. Access shall be limited to the times detailed on
the booking form.
5. The Management Committee reserve the right to
cancel the booking at any time, in which case the booking deposit will be
refunded, but no liability for any resultant loss shall be incurred by the
Management Committee.
6. The hirer shall ensure that any licenses and fees
relevant to the purpose of the hire are obtained and paid.
7. The hirer shall ensure compliance during the
period of hire with any statutory requirements, bye-laws or regulations made by
any body or authority in respect of the premises to be hired.
8. Whenever music, live or recorded, is to be used
the hirer shall ensure that no nuisance is caused to nearby residents.
9. Adequate adult supervision shall be provided by
the hirer during the whole period that the premises are used in connection with
the hiring.
10. The sale of intoxicating liquor will not be
allowed other than from the permanent bar facilities provided.
11. A refundable damage deposit of £200 shall be
paid, against which shall be set the cost of repairing any damage caused as a
result of the hiring.
12. Notwithstanding the payment of the damage
deposit, the hirer shall be solely and totally responsible for the cost of any
repairs to furniture fixtures or fittings necessitated by damage caused as a
result of the hiring. Fair wear and tear shall be expected.
13. The hirer shall be responsible for any loss or
injury arising out of the use of the premises and shall indemnify the Management
Committee against any liability or claim in this connection.
14. The hirer shall leave the premises clean and
tidy on completion of the hiring. Suitable receptacles are provided for small
amounts of rubbish, but the hirer shall arrange for the removal to a proper dump
of large quantities.
15. In the event of fire the hirer shall ensure
compliance with the instructions displayed on the premises and the hirer is
advised to familiarise themselves with those instructions and with the locations
of fire exits and alarm points.
16. The hirer shall take all measures necessary to
ensure that parking does not take place on adjacent highways or footpaths, in
nearby residential roads or on grassed areas. Adequate hard surfaced car parking
areas are provided within the village hall site.
17. Hirers will be given as much notice as possible
of any intended changes in hire charges and will be given the option to either
confirm or cancel their bookings. In the event of cancellation for this reason
the booking deposit will be refunded even though an alternative booking may not
be obtained.
18. Smoking is not permitted in any part of the
building. Smoking facilities are supplied in the beer garden. In the event that
anyone is caught smoking within the building, the hirer will forfeit their
damage deposit and the bar will close.
