MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES
Presenting Christ by all means everywhere is the OAC motto. We are committed to using visuals in ministry as people retain much more through seeing rather than by hearing. OPEN AIRS Each Saturday from March to December a voluntary team of helpers are involved in either Sauchiehall Street or Buchanan Street in Glasgow from 1.30pm to 3.00pm. TRAINING Day Seminars/Workshops take place as and when requested by Churches, Groups or individuals. SCHOOL ASSEMBLIES Each term approximately 25 Primary Schools are visited. CHURCH MINISTRY Here are a number of ways we can help Churches:- Family Services are popular especially around Easter, the Summer months and Christmas. Challenging Believers throughout the year on Sundays and midweek Missions which are Church based and Bible centred are run throughout the year. Over the week a variety of methods are used e.g. Quiz Nights, Guest Meals, Door to Door Visitation, Children's and Youth 5 Day Clubs, Ladies Meetings, Brunch Get Togethers, Gospel Meetings etc. Deputation - when the work of OAC is shared by visual presentation. BIBLE COLLEGES Lecturing on Personal Evangelism and Open Air Work as well as going out into the precinct to put into practice what was learnt! CHILDREN & TEENS 5 Day Clubs, Teen Meetings, Weekends away as well as School Assemblies and individual meetings. PRISON WORK Roger visits Barlinnie Prison each quarter with a number of other Christians. COMMUNITY WORK Rosemary seeks to build and strengthen links with people who live in and around Bridlington. She has joined the University of the Third Age and is leading a Craft Group "Cards for All Occasions" each fortnight.
