What We Believe

"The Methodist Church claims and cherishes its place in the Holy Catholic Church which is the Body of Christ. It rejoices in the inheritance of the apostolic faith and loyally accepts the fundamental principles of the historic creeds and of the Protestant Reformation.

It ever remembers that in the providence of God Methodism was raised up to spread scriptural holiness through the land by the proclamation of the evangelical faith and declares its unfaltering resolve to be true to its divinely appointed mission.

The doctrines of the evangelical faith which Methodism has held from the beginning and still holds are based on the divine revelation recorded in the Holy Scriptures.

The Methodist Church acknowledges this revelation as the supreme rule of faith and conduct."

(The Doctrinal Clause of the Deed of Union of 1932 which forms the constitutional basis of the Methodist Church)

The Four 'Alls' of Methodism

1. All need to be saved

2. All can be saved

3. All can know they are saved

4. All can be saved to the uttermost

Let me ask you a fundamentally important question:-

Are YOU saved & do you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ?

Please read and think about the following Bible verses.

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

"...all who believe in Him receive forgiveness of sins through His Name." (Acts 10:43)

Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?" (John 11:25,26)

"...if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)

"Every one who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:13 & Joel 2:32)

What do YOU believe?

Do you believe the above words from the Bible?

If so, you can pray the following prayer:

"Lord Jesus Christ,

I know you died for me on the cross for my sins and

I want you to be the Lord of my life: now and forever.

I'm sorry for the many ways I have sinned against you

and for my selfish way of living.

Please Lord, come into my life now as my Saviour.

Wash me clean, fill me with your Spirit; and with your help,

I will learn to love and obey you as Lord of my life.

Thank you for forgiving me and bringing me back to God. Amen.

If you have prayed this prayer sincerely, then the Bible says you are saved from your sins and you are a new person.

If you do not belong to a local church, you should look for one with Christians you can trust, who love Jesus and will pray and study the Bible with you.

Please e-mail me to let me know if you've prayed this prayer for the first time so that I can encourage you and link you with some local Christians.

Thanks for visiting!

May the Lord God bless you as you seek to follow him.
