CRYSTAL SINGING BOWLS
Crystal Bowls are produced using 99.8% pure crushed and powdered silicon quartz crystal. The powder is dropped into a centrifugal force spinning mould; then an electric arc torch is ignited to several thousand degrees centigrade to integrate the individual particles of quartz.
The result is an integrated structure of the purest resonance capable of sending our an audible sound, which has been tested up to a third of a mile or so.
There are three types of Bowls, the opaque bowl, the clear bowl and the optically clear bowl (which looks just like a glass bowl, but does not sound like one). It is just a matter of personal choice as to which type of bowl you prefer to use. Some say that the optically clear bowls subtly emit a purer, clearer more bell like tone.
The opaque bowls come in much larger sizes and resonate more deeply and for a longer period of time. The opaque bowls can be tuned to any note and size does not matter.
If the note of the bowl is slightly flat after the bowl has been made, then the rim of the opaque bowls can be gently shaved so that the bowl is retuned to a perfect note. (this cannot be done on the clear bowls as they are finer in their make up and would shatter.)
Also available are Practitioner Bowls which usually have a crystal handle, and can be used directly over your client, some therapists prefer working with they bowls, but be aware they are much more expensive, and obviously they only come in certain sizes.
Within our practice we use both clear and opaque bowls of varying size and note, suitable for treating the whole Chakra System.
The bowls create a very fine and pure waveform, this is known as a sine wave form, which as we said earlier has been tested up to a third of a mile from the Source. This pure wave of energy travels through physical objects very well, as the human body has quite a lot of resonation potential within it.
Also available now are bowls made with inclusions of other minerals such as Rose Quartz, Aqua Aura, Moldavite, Lapis Lazuli etc, these bowls are very expensive but readily available to the sound therapist should they be required.
The human body is composed of (in part) millions and millions of crystals, our bones are made of a combination of collagen, which is a protein in the form of a double helix intertwined around itself, that forms the framework for a type of calcium phosphate crystal call Apatite. These crystals exist throughout the body, teeth and skull.
As with all crystals they have a certain resonation potential, and when we work with crystals and sound, such as with the Singing Bowls, we believe there is a resonation, a harmonization. This is an integration process that goes on between the internal and external vibration. The resonance vibrates the body's cavities, which vibrates the crystals and affects the crystalline structure of our bones.
It is this vibration that has a great effect on the spine (a powerful sound resonator) diffusing along the nerve pathways to the organs, and the effects touch systems, tissues and cells in turn affecting the blood, circulation, metabolism and endocrine system, and balance the Chakras.
It also works on cleansing the aura and balancing the left and right hemispheres of the brain. But most importantly it created alignment with our Higher Self.
Resonance is the ability of a vibration to reach out a trigger a response in anything of a similar frequency and this is known as sympathetic resonance and entrainment, which is just what the sound is doing to your system, retraining it to vibrate at its highest potential.
Crystal Bowls are tuned to certain notes that resonate to certain Chakras, and also to various areas within the physical body. The bowls as discussed earlier come in varying sizes, but whether large or small they can be tuned to any note, the sound being and octave higher or lower depending on the size of the bowl.
Like any form of Crystal, the bowls can also be programmed for a particular purpose, they can also be programmed with energy from a sacred sight, should you wish to bring in a particular type of energy into your healing work.
The bowls should be played with love and the highest intent. It is all to easy to play the bowls too loud which can be very uncomfortable for the person that you are doing the Sound Therapy on, so it is important that you are aware of the loudness of your playing at all times when working on people.
During a therapy session we use a complete set of Crystal Singing Bowls, ranging in size and texture. These bowls are tuned to the sounds (notes) of the Chakras which are:-
Base Chakra Colour Red, Musical Note C
Sacral Chakra Colour Orange, Musical Note D
Solar Plexus Chakra Colour Yellow, Musical Note E
Heart Chakra Colour Green Musical, Note F
Thymus Chakra Colour Turquoise, Musical Note F#
Throat Chakra Colour Pale Blue, Musical Note G
Brow (Third Eye) Chakra Colour Indigo Blue, Musical Note A
Crown Chakra Colour Violet, Musical Note B
