Tank Setup
Our main tank is 6' x 2' x2' and holds about 125g of water. There is also a 30g sump which holds the heater, skimmer and refugium.

Filtration is provided by the movement of water through the rockwork and a protein skimmer - the "Berlin" method. Once every few months a bag of carbon is put in the sump and phosphate removing resin if phosphate levels rise. more...

For water movement within the tank a Deltec interval pump is plumbed on a closed loop.

Lighting is provided by 3 x 150w 10k metal halides and 2 x 65w actinic fluorescent tubes.

Water lost to evaporation is automatically topped from a 5g barrel - triggered by a syphon.
