This day started dull and wet. As I approached the mountains driving through Seravezza, the rain poured down so that I wondered whether I was mistaken in my expectation of a reasonable day.
However, as I drove up to Levigliani, the rain eased. Whatever the map might tell you, Levigliani can be reached from two separate roads, the eastern road goes straight to the car park at the top end of the village.
The path is well marked in that it follows the quarry road for about one kilometre as the crow flies. Shortly after a sharp bend to the left after a reasonable stretch to the east above the zig-zags, the path is clearly signed leading up the hill to the Passo Dell'Alpino.
Follow the easy path up to the Foce di Mosceta, from which the path number 126 leads directly up the west side of the mountain to the north/south ridge between the summit and the Pizzo Delle Saette.
The summit ridge is very easy and safe, despite the dire warnings to take care in some guide books.
For me, the ascent was largely in cloud but when I arrived at the summit I was lucky enough to be presented with glimpses of the view through gaps in the cloud.
Here are some pictures...
