Two new script for BBC Scotland Education on Robin Jenkins' classic 1955 novel "The Cone-Gatherers" have been commissioned, written and filmed.

Broadcast date: 4th March 2004.

The two programmes imagine a police investigation into the events surrounding the deaths of Calum McPhie and Duror. Detectives Armour and Wallace visit the estate to interview the main protagonists, Neil McPhie, Mrs Lochie, Tulloch, Lady Runcie Campbell and Roderick. As their investigation proceeds, we discover more and more about the psychological and social tensions impinging on the characters.
