About Ray Hamblett

Ray was born in Shoreham-by-sea, West Sussex in 1958, he lived in Portslade until 1987 when he married and moved to Lancing, he has had an interest in wildlife, photography and the environment for many years.
When a digital camera arrived it became affordable to record the subjects that interest him .
This eventually led to the project of the Lancing Nature Galleries in which the wildlife he has found in and around his hometown are recorded for the website.

Lancing Postcards is a new project that aims to collect images that record the fabric and structure of Lancing. Buildings are part of that but it is also about people and it is hoped to that individuals, teams and groups will be represented.

Ray's first project was the Lancing Village website which aimed to be a general view of the town at present, it's historic past and it's wildlife. This project is online but development is on hold. It is hoped to resume in future.
