Naturist news from the Alentejo, Portugal, August 2007.

Suntreckers’ Prize Winners.

At the 2006 Suntreckers Gala Rally, we offered a 7 night holiday at Naturest as a draw prize. The winners, Chris and Maureen Watkiss from Middlesex, recently took their holiday prize - they even extended their stay to 14 nights!

At the 2007 Suntreckers Silver Jubilee Celebration Rally, we donated another 7 night holiday prize. We look forward to welcoming the winners, John and Heather Tidbury from Oxfordshire, in the near future.

A long ride.

Recently, a guest rode his BMW R1150GSA all the way from the UK to stay at Naturest. He covered the 1200 miles from St Malo in two days, it would have taken a lot longer if he had ridden in reverse gear like the round the world team! After a week at Naturest, he was refreshed and ready for the return journey, for which he had allowed five days so he could call in at La Petite Brenne, France en route.

With such a machine parked outside, Marnie couldn’t resist the opportunity for a photo shoot.

  “Biker chick or biker chic.”

Adults only?

Apparently, the adults only tag we have on our website gives some people the wrong idea about us. When we decided to set up a naturist guest house, we wanted to have a peaceful environment where adult naturists could get away from it all without the presence and the usual accompanying noise of their or other peoples’ children.

We could not spell it out quite like that on our website because some naturist search and listing sites will not link or direct to websites containing certain banned words - such as child and children - because paedophiles use these words to find images of children. So we plumped for the seemingly innocent phrase - “Adults only”.

In Portugal, naturism is very family oriented, so at the request of FPN, the Portuguese naturist federation, we added text on our website in order to clarify the “Adults only” tag stating that voyeurism, exhibitionism and swinging are not acceptable practises at Naturest.

Even with it spelled out so clearly on the website, people still enquire about what other “activities” we arrange. We mention trips to the beach and impromptu boules matches etc, unless the enquirer tells us exactly what they are looking for.

We have to ask ourselves, do people who run golf or tennis resorts receive enquiries about swinging? Probably not, even though swinging of some sort or another occurs all day and everyday at such resorts.

Website.

If you have not visited our website recently, why not take a look. We have added more pictures and some new pages including a “Special Offers” page.
