League: U15s v Horsforth.(20/4/08)
Rawdon won the toss and put the visitors into bat. As early as the second over the first wicket fell. Horsforth's opener drove fiercely straight at James Nightingale who held on well to take the catch off George Myers' bowling. At 14-1 off 4 overs Horsforth had started to recover, however the introduction of Jake Walker changed all that with 2 quick wickets as they were reduced to 19-3 off 5. Chris Statham took the 4th in his first over and the 5th wicket fell again to Jake on his way to an impressive return of 4 for 4 off 4.
George took his second wicket leaving the visitors on 41-7. 2 run outs followed with good work from Tom Birkin and James N.
George Myers wrapped up the innings with a wicket in the last ball of Horsforth's allotted 20 overs, with the score on 58.
In reply openers James N (21no) and Ben Morley (30no) knocked off the 59 with 10 overs to spare.
A comfortable win and good start for the talented group.
