The church also has a bimonthly prayer booklet. The current issue (March / April 2002) can be seen below:

Sunday

Pray for our Sunday Services, that we may continue to experience the presence of the Lord. Pray that through them, disciples will be encouraged and challenged and the lost will be saved.

Sunday School

The Apostle Paul writing to the Thessalonian Church, urges them to pray without ceasing.

May I similarily encourage you to all to pray much for the work of the Sunday School. Give thanks for those children who come regularly and for the teachers who teach faithfully.

Pray for conversions among the children and for an increase in numbers attending.

Roy Henderson

Senior Bible Class

Classes are going well with numbers keeping up, and for that we give thanks to God.

Simon spoke on faith, and the fact that without faith it is impossible to please God. Please pray that all will put their faith in God and be pleasinfg in his sight. We still have Mark and Johnny to look forward to speaking, so pray that as they do so, we might know God's presence and young people will be drawn to himself.

Thank you for all your prayers. Keep on praying.

Please pray that more of the men in the church will join with us, and those who plan the venues etc, will be given wisdom, so that in all of our activities the Lord will be able to bless, and that a work for the Kingdom will be accompished.

Please pray for our full time outreach worker, Ross Collins as he starts with us on 25th April.

Junior CE

We thank you for your continued prayerful support of the work amongst boys and girls each Friday evening., and would value prayer for the following aspects of the work:

Pray for the leaders as they prepare the programme each week, that the Bible Stories will be presented in such a way that each child will be able to understand the message and learn that God wants to be their Saviour and friend.

As the nights lengthen it is often difficult to get children to come. Pray that the children will continue to attend regularly and others might come along, and continue to pray that discipline will be maintained in the meetings.

Youth Club

As leaders the youth club we want not only to see the young peple who attend saved, we want to see them passionate and enthusiastic for God. We pray with the hymn "Create soul thirst for Thee, and hungering for the bread of life ah my spirits be".

In the Youth Club we wish to run a discipleship course, covering the basics of the Christian Faith. We plan to run this fortnightly on a Tuesday night, at 8.30pm, and hope to begin on 26th March. A night will include some group games, a short interactive talk, and end with discussion.

We would value your prayers for God to use this to truly impact the young people's lives. For wisdom to be given to us as leaders as we consider what to say, and how fast to proceed. Pray that we would not overcomplicate the message, and that God would grant the understanding and insight into the Gospel that these young people require.

For the Youth Club on a Friday night, we would value your continued prayers for relationships to be built up between the young people and leaders. Pray that our eyes would ever be opened to the needs of the young people, and that we would be enabled to minister to those needs. Also pray for the planning of our weekend. Give thanks too for a couple of new helpers coming along and joining us in this work.
