Siggen
If you take the ferry sailing which goes direct from Newcastle to Bergen, you make landfall in Norway at the Marstein light, where the wreck of the Siggen lies. She was a 2258brt, 87 metre long steamship built in Sunderland in 1887. She was on her maiden voyage for new owners in January 1892 when she hit the rocks and sank, while attempting a shortcut in poor visibility. The wreck lies upright and intact with the bows facing N in 40m and the stern in 34m. Links
