Jupiter
Jupiter was a small cargo steamer built in Greenock in 1856. She was 652brt, measured 55x8x7 metres, and had a 2 cylinder compound engine. She ran aground on the S point of Røytingkalvens in December 1912, whilst on a voyage between Trondheim and Bergen, carrying passengers and general cargo. She was broken up in situ the following year. Although the wreck is mainly broken, the stern is still standing, there is still plenty to see and Jupiter makes a good dive. |
