Lauren “Dusty Boots” Lauren started teaching linedancing after a request by many other dancers, after dancing at the British linedancing championships in 1996. With her then partner she held 3 successful classes a week in the Mansfield area, during this time Lauren trained with the United Kingdom Alliance (U.K.A) and became fully qualified in 1997. Prior to becoming a full time linedance teacher, Lauren worked as a school nurse for 11 years, but as the demands made upon her as a qualified dance instructor increased she decided to commit full time. Lauren has choreographed a number of dances which have been published in the top linedance magazines. “Be Good at it”, “Blue Greased Lightning”, “San Antone Swing”, “Born to Boogie”, and her most recent dance “Lets Stick together”. Lauren really enjoy’s teaching others to dance and loves all forms of dance music, in particular “Country” a close friend and inspiration to her is one of our top choreographers Robbie McGowan Hickie. A highlight for Lauren was when she taught the sports personality Prince Naseem.(a proper gentleman) Finally a few words from Lauren Keep on Dancing as it keeps you fit both mentally and physically but most of all it’s FUN! |
