The shirts are unyoked, being gathered into a large collar with a hand-finished front lacing which would normally be left as loose as possible for that thoroughly decadent look. The sleeves are very full and ridiculously long, gathered on the wrist, and edged in lace.

The cuffs are edged with extravagant pointed lace, and the gathering ribbon is sufficiently full that the sleeve can be opened up fully, for easy ironing. They can be worn turned back over a sleeve, or falling loosely over the hand.
