Well, not just Poets: ideal for Consumptives, New Romantics, White Goths and anyone wishing to recreate a foppish look. They are what is known as "four-yard" shirts, for the obvious reason that the body is a yard long front and back, and the sleeves are also made of a full yard of material each! This gives the fullest, most generously cut shirt, and they are made of a lovely quality, creamy-coloured, fine cotton cambric.

The shirts are unyoked, being gathered into a large collar with a hand-finished front lacing which would normally be left as loose as possible for that thoroughly decadent look. The sleeves are very full and ridiculously long, gathered on the wrist, and edged in lace.
