Macromedia Fireworks is used in the creation of Animated Rollover style buttons.
You can use either Graphics, Pictures or parts of Pictures for your buttons and can edit the different "states" of the button quite easily.
Fireworks then exports the finished page in HTML format and automatically slices the images or graphics and produces a table that will contain and position them.
The rest of your page can then be built into the exported HTML document.
