CREATING ANIMATIONS


The simplest animation is The Banner, made with just two changing images. Often one is a Photo and the other is simple text.

Image 1 and Image 2 are combined using Animation Software to form the finished animation

Creating more complicated movement in animations is just like producing cartoons.
A series of 'Frames' are produced in a sequence, with the image changing slightly in each one to produce the illusion of movement.

In this example the images are combined so that the animation only activates when the mouse pointer is over the image.
Try it out now!


In the next example as well as movement we have included sound.

Now when the mouse pointer is placed over the image it moves and makes a sound.


ANIMATION SOFTWARE
There are many different programmes for creating animations.
The two most popular are Animation Shop and Gif Animator.
Also a Graphics programme like Corel Draw is helpful for creating the original 'still' pictures and Paintshop Pro for converting images into 'Gif' format.
