Death of Henry Dyer

 

 

Henry Dyer's graveHenry Dyer died on 25th September 1918 after a short illness. Many tributes were paid to him. His funeral service was conducted by the Rev. John Smith of Partick Parish Church and Rev. Laidlaw from St Georges in the Field. The 'chief mourner' was Rev. Charles Henry Dyer (his son).

 

Henry Dyer was buried in the Necropolis Cemetery close to Glasgow Cathedral. Later his wife and daughter were buried on the same site. The following appears on the tomb stone
