A floor has been added to the whole of the filter area, covering the sump. As usual throughout the project every available space raidly became filled with something or other!
Plastic conduit was used to run the cables to the required positions and lighting was added.
I fitted a domestic consumer unit to provide power to each circuit. The unit is fed from an armoured cable in the house and protected by a circuit breaker. One of the filtration pumps and the airpumps that power the drain diffusers are fed from a separate RCD circuit to provide redundancy. In the event of one system failing, the other should continue to provide power to one filter bank and two air pumps.
The plan wa to locate most of the electrical equipment together which necessitated me adding several sockets on the ring main. The grey box on the left hand side is now a power feed from a switch next to the pond that allows the diffuser drains to be switched on and off without walking to the filter house.
