The area where the sump would be built. Holding approximately 100 gallons, all of the waste filter water is to be dumped in here before being pumped out onto the garden (or into the sewer if chemicals are ever added)
A steel cover would provide access to the sump area
Several joists were added across the base of the filter area. The sump is directly underneath this
The two 110mm pipes enter the sump area which is constructed from concrete block which is then rendered and fibreglassed
Before the floor was added, the drain lines and low level pipework was connected, including shut off valves.
Three of the ITT pumps have been positioned and a shelf which holds the four air-pumps has been added.
Some of the euipment is installed with the air tubes that feed the air-diffuser drains extended into position.
The feed and return pipework is completed with valves on all lines to allow shut off, flow control and removal of equipment as necessary.
The control area for the return pipework
The UV unit and the nexus can now be plumbed in. The UV is fitted to the suction line from the mulitbay filter whilst the suction side of the Nexus will have the heat exchanger fitted to it.
