Uk-Hybrids are Private Collectors and breeders of Colubrids ,
We create and breed Hybrid Snakes along with the Normal/Pure types of colubrid Snakes.
We would love to keep all the snakes we breed and in most cases we do, any Snakes we offer
are the surplus results that we wont require for continued breeding projects .

A few previous hybrid crosses created from scratch by us
The earliest Hybrid that we created was in the late 1970's , it was a complete accident
And happened during a vivarium cleaning session, a Florida kingsnake was placed in a viv
Containing just sphagnum moss, about 15mins later on retrieval of the kingsnake the moss was pulled
Back and their was the king hooked to a cornsnake, in disbelief the two were watched until they
Finished then quickly split up , 5 eggs were produced. This accidental matting was the start of our interest
In the mixed breeding habits of colubrids and hybrids in general.

F = filial , and the number that follows ie 1 = generation.
Mendal classified the subjects in his genetic studies as " P " = parental, F1 = first filial, F2 = second filial,
and so forth.
In the truest sense F1 would indicate progeny produced by unrelated animals.
F2 would indicate the progeny of the F1's if bred to one another (i.e. brother X sister).
An F1 from one breeding and an F1 from another breeding would cease to have any relatedness
and so they as breeders would be identified as the "P" generation and their offspring F1.
These terms serve to indicate relatedness.
Many herpers mistakenly apply the term to indicate generations removed from the wild.
You can have snakes that are several generations removed from the wild and yet are still F1's.
Understanding the Filial generations
Hybrid: Any crossbreeding between two organisms with differing taxonomical classifications.
Intra-specific hybrid: A cross breed between two organisms within the same species,
This is the more correct term for an intergrade.
Inter-specific hybrid: A cross breed between two organisms from two differing species.
Inter-generic hybrids: A cross breed between two organisms from two differing genera
here is one example for each, all of them qualify as hybrids but more specifically they would be:
Intra-specific hybrid: Creamsicle Cornsnake: Panterophis g. guttata X Panterophis g. emoryi
Inter-specific hybrid: Pearl Cornsnake: Panterophis g. guttata X Panterophis o. lindheimerii
Inter-generic hybrid: Jungle Corn: Panterophis g. guttata X Lampropeltis getula californiae
