The borough of Dacorum lies in west Hertfordshire, stretching from Kings Langley to Tring, including the town of Hemel Hempstead and the surrounding villages.
At Pumas, we work closely with the Youth Sport Development Team of Dacorum Borough Council, schools and other sports organisations in the district to provide opportunities for coaching, officiating and playing for all ages and all levels.
We offer courses for younger players (from 7 to 11), as well as running courses for junior schools.
For older players (from 12 to 15) we offer training leading to competitions with teams in various leagues, and for players from 16 upwards, we can provide great opportunities at under 18 level.
If you would like to get involved in coaching or officiating, Pumas can provide opportunities to take the first steps. Pumas Basketball Club are always on the look-out for volunteers to help coach and manage teams.

We run termly courses covering all aspects of playing the game. Courses cater for beginners and improvers for both boys and girls. We encourage players to join the U12 team and play in a variety of youth leagues.

Games Nights
We also run GAMES NIGHTS at Hemel Hempstead Sports Centre on Friday evenings from September to May annually - a fun hour of non-stop action. Just come along - teams are put together on the evening!
FOR PLAYERS AGED 12-15
Every year Dacorum takes part in the Hertfordshire Youth Games. Pumas Basketball Club runs squad trials and training sessions prior to the event.
Pumas have U14 and U16 teams in a variety of competitions, and are also committed to development of basketball for girls.
FOR PLAYERS AGED 16 UP
Pumas Basketball Club provide opportunities at under 18 level and there are teams in the West Herts area that offer playing opportunities for those over the age of 18
