:: DEXTER'S LABORATORY - DEESASTER STRIKES

Format: Game Boy Advance
Publisher: BAM! Entertainment

:: THUNDERBIRDS

Format: Game Boy Color
Publisher: SCi

After the success of Cool Bricks SCi commissioned the team to produce the CGB version of the Thunderbirds License. This was a huge success and actually knocked Pokemon:Yellow off the top spot at Christmas in Amazon.com's chart :)

It also received a 'Game of the Year' award presented in the Electronic Boutique industry competition.

:: COOL BRICKS

Format: Game Boy Color
Publisher: SCi

This was actually the first release which we wrote and sold directly to a publisher for the CGB, consequently we're very proud of it. This game received great reviews and was also featured on BBC's John Craven's Newsround.

:: MIA HAMM SOCCER SHOOTOUT

Format: Game Boy Color
Publisher: Aqua Pacific / Southpeak Interactive

Amusingly I only did the front-end and menu system for Mia Hamm of which I can find no screenshots (I will find them!), so unfortunately I can only assure you they are of very high quality indeed :)

Format: PC
Publisher: Disney Interactive / Psygnosis

:: WATERWORLD

Format: Sega Megadrive (Genesis)
Publisher: Ocean / Time Warner

:: DAMNATION

Format: Game Boy Color

If there is one particular genre of game that I love above all others, then it would have to be platformers however, shooters are definitely a close second and old classics like Uridium and Xenon only fuel the desire to create one.

:: LIL' SCAMP

Format: Game Boy Color / PC (Blitz 8-Bit Retro Entry)
Publisher: Unpublished

This little number caused quite a stir on the Game Boy Color when it first appeared, although another homebrew project that was not signed to a publisher it boasted features previously unseen on the handheld. With 3 layers of parallax and some 200+ colours on-screen there was nothing that could touch it either graphically or technically at the time.

The CGB hardware has no in-built parallax support, a single character mapped hardware scroll layer (so you can't Blit extra layers) and can only support 56 colours onscreen at any one time, with a maximum of 4 colours per 8x8 pixel tile one of which is transparent (beginning to get the picture?) Oh yeah! Hardly any processing power either :)
As soon as the tutorial section is up and running (soon I hope) I will endeavour to explain how all this was achieved.

:: PUTANG

Format: Game Boy Advance / Pocket PC
Publisher: Unpublished

Putang was an idea that I had for a simple game loosely based around the arcade classic Pang! A game which I have to say is a particular favourite of mine, and one that has indeed taken many social hours away :) Although Putang was intended for the GBA and Pocket PC, a demo only ever materialised on the GBA and consequently began gathering dust as we could not attract a publishers interest.

:: MONKEY BALL MAZES

Format: Game Boy Advance
Publisher: Unpublished (Speculative Work)

This small game was written in a weekend and I still find it enjoyable to play (even without AI enemies) so I thought it worth including. The game design is mine and although simple I think you will find it devilishly tricky :)

Produced primarily as speculative work in bidding for a Monkey Ball licensed game (sadly declined) this title is in no way affiliated with Nintendo or Monkey Ball and respective owners.
