The Throne of God

Revelation 4 v 2b-11 & Rev 5 13-14
This painting attempts to give a hint at what it might be like in Heaven. There are several descriptions of heaven in the Bible, in Revelation, Ezekiel and Daniel. The 3 descriptions are very similar. I have sought to encourage the viewer to be captivated by God’s ‘Wow’ factor, and awesomeness - almost scariness of our Lord, to challenge the visual part of out minds in our worship to Jesus. I know in reality the throne would be so bright we wouldn’t be able to look at it, so I have made it all darker so we can see what might be there.
