Iridology is the study of the irises of the eyes as maps of the entire body. It is a non-invasive assessment of certain aspects of health. It shows inherited strengths and weaknesses, areas of relative over and under-function and as such can try to assess areas where things could be optimised.

The diagram on the left is an example chart of the areas of the iris of the right eye (mirror image). There is a lot of close up detail contained within the iris including possible fibre anomalies, pigments, whitening and shape variations of the structures it contains. Sclerology is a similar study of the blood vessels, colours and patches of the whites of the eyes which adds more information to that obtained from iridology.

An iridology consultation is 1-2 hours depending on the level of detail required and whether any advice is asked to be given upon the findings. Digital iris and sclera photographs are taken for immediate viewing on a screen. Explanations are then given as to the meaning of the various signs in the iris and sclera.

Iridology and sclerology have been used extensively in Body Electronics and are commonly taught as part of the whole system. It can be used in the process of tracking down the most fruitful body points used for pointholding.
