Nutritional Therapy Questions
What do nutritional therapy consultations involve?
I would ask questions about health and the current diet and try to assess areas where diet change can create optimised health and increased wellbeing. In a longer consultation I would use iridology. I would suggest a programme of diet and perhaps supplements and lifestyle changes, or other therapies which I consider could make a difference. I would try to educate a person in what their body requires in terms of nutrition and how the body works to create optimal health from a holistic perspective.
How much does it cost?
Most holistic therapists are working at a similar hourly rate to a tradesman (less call-out charges). For a simple dietary assessment for optimising the nutrition, the cost of undertaking the therapy could be minimal or could in some cases actually cost less than eating the usual diet. For a more in depth health consultation the costs of products could cost around £100 per month extra to the normal diet over several months for optimal results. It is sometimes possible to spend less per month and take longer.
How many sessions would I need?
Often people get enough information from one 2-hour consultation to put them on track with their health from a nutritional perspective. Otherwise someone may come back every 2-3 month for a few sessions.Do you work alongside conventional doctors?
Nutritional Therapy does not come under statutory regulation so it is against a G.P.s rules to recommend any particular nutritional therapist. Conventional medical drugs and the orthodox framework for disease are very different from a holistic framework.
Do you work in hospitals?
No. Dieticians work in hospitals or alongside G.P.s. They are trained in the orthodox medical framework which is not the same as a holistic framework. They will work out diet plans for certain illnesses under the supervision of a doctor.
Do you treat migraines/IBS/cancer/gall stones/diabetes....?
No, the whole person is looked at. Holistic medicine looks at a person as a whole which can help their body deal with a symptom. If the symptom is a problem that can be helped by nutrition then part of the treatment may be directed towards it, but it is not the main focus.
Would you advise that I came off the drugs?
This would be unethical if the drugs have been prescribed by a G.P.. It is up to the client to make any decisions in that direction, hopefully telling their G.P. what they are doing.
Iridology Questions
Are you diagnosing medical conditions in the eye from ididology?
No, we are assessing the integrity of the entire body, organ by organ and system by system, by looking at the iris of the eye which is living nerve tissue reflecting the various parts of the entire body.
Is iridology what an optician is doing when they look into your eyes?
No, opticians look at the retina at the back of the eyeball to assess early signs of diseases such as diabetes. Iridologists look at the iris of the eye (the coloured part).
Can you tell me if I've got cancer/diabetes/M.E./M.S. ..... from iridology?
Not in those terms. Iridology shows inherent organ and gland relative strengths and weaknesses, relative over and under-function and so on. It shows potential underlying patterns which if addressed could show the road to optimising health.
Body Electronics Questions
Does Body Electronics use electrical equipment to treat people?
No, it uses pressure points on the body which are held with a thumb, finger or elbow similar to shiatsu, acupressure or reflexology. The term refers only to the fine system of "electronics" within the body itself.
How many sessions of Body Electronics would I need?
Essentially Body Electronics is a discipline of slowly uncovering dualities within the belief system. It is a spiritual discipline and as such the work can be endless. For any particular problem, it is impossible to say how many sessions are needed as it depends on how deep the receipient wishes to go and their willingness to go there.
Why is Body Electronics Pointholding Physically Painful
If you experience pointholding, you start to understand how the emotional pain we all have access to within in immeasureable depths, is intimately tied in with physical pain - it is the full intensity of the emotion, memory and belief, not normally felt, that is physically painful. After a few sessions there is a realisation that the pain that is felt is not, as the intincts might tell us, harming us. Someone then comes gradually to the position of experiencing, but not minding the pain.
Body Electronics Pointholding sounds like reflexology/shiatsu/rolfing/Reichian Bodywork .... ?
Body Electronics is a unique discipline, and although it uses body points that are similar to, or often exactly the same as in these other bodywork therapies, it uses them in a distinct way. It steadily holds a point for a complete cycle which can take several hours. It is also unique amongst most of these disciplines in that it places an emphasis on the receiver actively working on memories and finding restrictive belief patterns which locate dualities (in other words, I'm identified with this and not that).
Why do I need to have a nutrition programme to receive Body Electronics Pointholding?
Someone with inadequate nutrition will gradually get more and more tired after several or more sessions, until the results from sessions are poor. This tiredness is not present to the same degree, and recovery is faster, when nutrition is adequate.
