Testimonies for Courses Summer 2006

These courses took place in June in Pembrokeshire, South Wales.
The first week's course was a Body Electronics pointholding intensive.
The second week's course was a detox based on the Arise&Shine intestinal cleanse which focusses on the removal of Mucoid Plaque.

To Whom it May Concern,

I attended two week-long intensives in Solva this summer with Peter and found both of them very rewarding - far more so than shorter weekend sessions as the power built up over each of the weeks.

The venue was very comfortable and suitable, being right by the sea with beautiful beaches and cliff walks nearby, and a brook at the end of the lovely garden. The weeks went very smoothly and I think everybody got a lot from them.

The first week was Body Electronics, when I took advantage of the opportunity to do another cranial [a major set of powerful points on the head to open up the structure by releasing emotion]. This was very powerful and enabled me to reach a deeper layer to work on and I am still feeling the effects a month later.

Most of the second week was spent on the Master Phase of the Arise and Shine [just vegetable juices and herbs, no solid food]. I've done this at home a couple of times, but not managed to make such major changes and this week helped me to build on the effects of the previous one.

Doing the Arise and Shine in a group with Peter there to keep us all to the timetable was a lot easier than trying to do it at home. Moreover, to help us shift more stuff he included other therapies such as bicarbonate of soda baths with cayenne, liver cleanses and breathing sessions and I found all of these helped the cleansing process along. It was good having him there to help us to work on things as and when they came up and he always seemed to be available when anyone needed his individual help.

I lost nearly three quarters of a stone during the week which I was delighted about. The challenge now is not to put it back on again. I shall certainly try to attend any other weeks like these.

To Whom it May Concern,

I went on the pointholding week at Solva, Pembrokeshire in early June 2006. For me the week was an opportunity to work through my cranial points for the first time, and also to hold cranial points for the first time - without taking a week out from my normal schedule I'm not sure I would have gotten around to doing this. I found the cranial points to be a challenging experience (during one pointholding I re-lived what felt like two tooth extractions without anaesthetic - talk about pain) but having worked through the points I'm now glad that I did them. Also the location for the week could not have been bettered - a beautiful cottage in a wonderful coastal village setting was the perfect backdrop to the course. Peter put a lot of effort into pre-course organisation and was always on hand during the week to facilitate sessions as necessary. The course was, by its very nature, fairly intensive, but time was available for activities such as going to the beach and walking along the spectacular cliffs which was an added bonus.

Dear Peter

Just writing to say thanks for organising the detox week in Pembrokeshire. I had a great time and lost 8 pounds in weight. It was a great help as I ve been trying to detox on my own for over 2 years and its not easy to get past the fridge when you live alone and have no will power.

On the trip we were all pulling together with the same goal in mind which really helped. When the urge to pig out was at its worst. and of course the padlock on the fridge helped (only joking). I managed to get rid of a lot of black and green mucoid plaque which is not hard to imagine is the cause of every nasty disease on the market.

I for one really enjoyed it and feel better now. I m looking forward to going on another trip. The cottage where we stayed was lovely in a small town with a harbour and superb. Walks in the woods or on the cliffs. We went on a fast boat ride to Ramsey Island to see the wildlife for only £20. It was well organised fun and well worth the money time and effort involved in making it happen.

Thanks mate

Dear Peter,

I've not done any dextox work before, so didn't know what to expect. You had certainly prepared it all very well. I cannot imagine anything deeper or more effective. You gave us a punishing daily schedule of shakes, herbs, stimulants, bacteria and coffee enemas, and you prepared a wonderful salad, which was the only meal we were allowed each day. Curiously, 1 wouldn't have wanted more.

We fitted in a couple of point-holding sessions, which was a major reason for me in coining. Certainly something happened in them, and it was good the way everyone joined in. Each of us had our problems to work on in different ways, and I'm sure we all felt able to do that; some by talking, some with rebirthing experiences, and me with the point- holding.

What has it done for me? I feel generally brighter, mentally more alert. Many small skin lesions have disappeared, which 1 didn't expect. My bowel action is better since. I used to take ages to go at all, and now it has speeded up and feels more complete. Unfortunately, the spinal claudication problem which is my main trouble is unchanged, or slightly worse. 1 shall have to live in hopes that more work on it will win in the end. I have a scan booked at the hospital shortly. At least I'll have more idea of what is wrong, and the chances of its being corrected surgically - something I'd rather avoid, since I don't regard it as real healing.

Could it be better? Maybe. Here are a few points that have occurred to me: I wasn't clear about what we were doing beforehand. It just happened. I didn't learn as much about what we were doing as I might have done; perhaps some more specific instruction in \vhat we were taken, what it was supposed to do, and if, and where we get it from. You wouldn't need to do that if all the participants knew it all already, but perhaps should be prepared to offer a session early on if participants wanted it.

I know that walks and beach visits were included, but often put off because we weren't all ready. The schedule, and its effect on us, takes its time. I like having the point-holding sessions, but I think they need to start earlier, as, with everything else we have to fit in, we can't afford very late bed-times.

The setting was delightful. It is a lovely village set in the depths of the country. There are good walks and beaches nearby. The cottage is informal and picturesque. Having the better of 2 bathrooms approachable only through the largest bedroom might be a problem. It requires a degree of 'give and take,' so might not be suitable for anyone unable to do this.

I'd wondered about fitting other things into the week; its seems an excellent opportunity. Working with John Heron, I learned the value of letting the group choose what it wanted to do. If you could identify time in the day when something could be fitted in - a specified time like an hour, or even 30 minutes, a discussion early on could reveal which participants might offer what, and a choice could be made (to be reviewed later, of course.) It doesn't have to be all down to you. As it was, the piano proved useful, and a good relaxation, at least for some of us.

Yours sincerely,

To Whom it May Concern,

Before I went on the Body Electronics/Therapeutic Nutrition week in Solva, I had been through Pointholding twice and then left it alone for about 6 months. I felt that I had benefited and challenged myself enough to relax back into a better, (but still dysfunctional/compromised) lifestyle and level of physical/emotional health. I had cleared a layer of emotion that I felt was a trigger for my over use of alcohol and painkillers and, had subsequently reduced my drug/alcohol consumption significantly.

When however I was asked if I wanted to attend the week, I knew it would be an opportunity to push myself through the period of apathy and inertia that I had found myself in again. My tolerance to the addictive substances was creeping up, and so too was my consumption and all the problems that go with it: Depression, feeling ill and compromised relationships with those most close to me.

So I went.

Initially I felt like a fish out of water. The weather and surroundings were brilliant and I would have been much more at ease at a barbecue swilling down loads of Guiness with me mates. It felt risky to work on such a deep level with relative strangers, but I then realised that this was in fact incredibly liberating. I wasn't bothered as much about what they thought (the other people on the week) so I could open up more easily and process the emotions that emerged during pointholding much more. This in turn, led to a feeling of mutual vulnerability in the group and an inevitable respect and understanding because we're 'in the same boat'.

As anyone familiar with the healing process will know though - It is not easy. The depth at which I was working on myself was at times alarming and anxiety provoking (but I think that was because I was detoxing from alcohol, anti-depressants and opiates as well, and was inevitably going to hit those experiences of fear whilst all my defences were down.

Ultimately, and I think most importantly I came away from Solva feeling proud of myself. I had worked hard to turn my victim/helplessness situation around and had benefited hugely. The pain I experienced seemed trivial. I had experienced real emotion that was not only a relief, it was a revelation and gave me back a sense of myself.

So, another layer of resisted emotion was experienced, processed and acted upon (I have taken responsibility for the pain and concern I have caused my family and girlfriend and genuinely apologised). I will continue to practice pointholding - despite, and paradoxically because of - just how overwhelming it can be. It is an incredibly powerful healing technique and it's there for people who really want to make changes have a go at.....therapeutic rock n roll....not for the faint-hearted. We're not talking lavender on your pillow in this game.

To Whom it May Concern,

I attended both the pointholding intensive and detox week and for me it was an amazing life changing experience, despite having done years of pointholding and some detoxing previously. I have had little memory of parts of my childhood, but during the pointholding, so much came flooding back, first memories of my loving parents, the house I lived in and the wonderful gardens, then I flipped suddenly into another horrific scene as if a key had unlocked a door. Working with these memories explained so much about how my life has been since, and I have lost some of my lifelong fears.

In the detox week I passed a large amount of something disgusting, smelling of chemicals and anaesthetics. I felt dreadful for two days before it started to ease up. My hands tingled, I was nauseous, and I felt like passing out. When finally the feelings subsided I was feeling much calmer than I can ever remember. My life has been so frantic with, as I thought, never a moment to rest, but now I am not so driven, and am finding some time for myself. Life is suddenly better! Two weeks later as I write this the healing is continuing, as if I had reached a plateau and now I am pushing upwards again.

Thanks Pete, I look forward to the next week!

Detox week in Solva

This is the first time I have ever done a cleanse of this magnitude and I found it was good to be away from home and focussed and I am very pleased with the results! Going in I was very bloated and suffering from cravings of sugar and chocolate with energy swings during the day. Since being on the Arise & Shine for the week, I am no longer bloated, I feel 'full' much sooner so I am not eating the quantity of food I ate before the cleanse, I have sustained energy and my bowels are moving much more regularly! (What more could a girl want?)

The setting is very relaxing on the coast of Pembrokeshire with a delightful garden and cliff top walks and a good beach for bathing in the Atlantic not far away. I felt well looked after and every time Peter handed me something to take I took the capsules or downed the drink without thinking too much about it. By the end of the week I had passed plenty of 'plaque' and had a good cleanse.

There were supportive therapies on hand to choose from: ie iridology, breathwork and re-birthing, body electronics and pointholding, and of course the other 4 people on the cleanse as we were all going through this process together.

I will do it again!
