Harpists Go Continental

We flew form Cardiff to Geneva

Via Amsterdam and Lyon!

KLM gave us bags of Tucs

And Wagon Wheels to feast on.

We stayed in a town called St. Genis

A little known Roman martyr

We looked for a taxi, a train or bus

But couldn’t get and further.

In Charly’s bar we had a drink

By two o’clock we were far gone

Then cern turned up with bright sunshine

And said “ the match is on! “

Nigel batted for twenty three overs

An innings of true character

Is that thunder that I hear?

Or is it the reactor?

The bar b que was a great success

With chicken on a stick

Please help yourselves to the rest

But the chicken’s for old dick.

We met a girl, who new a man,

Who lives in Swansea valley.

We’ll have to look him up some time

She said he is quite pally.

Back to the hotel and 10 pin bowling

A really great success

Too much to eat, too much to drink

A really awful mess.

Then to Geneva city centre

To view the famous fountain.

Then back to cern for a twenty – twenty

We lost, but who is counting.

So it’s back to Cardiff via Amsterdam

And with a bit of luck

We’ll gorge ourselves on wagon wheels

And those b****y awful tuc!
