Victoria Cross The Highest Award for Gallantry .Issued to all ranks
Distinguished Service Order Gallantry award for Officers where the action did not warrant issue of VC
Distinguised Conduct Medal Gallantry award for other ranks
Military Cross Gallantry award for
Officers and Senior NCO's
Military Medal Gallanry award for Private soldiers or junior NCO's
France & Germany Star Campaign Medal issued to those who served in France,Belgium,Netherlands or Germany from 06th June 1944 to 8 May 1945
Burma Star Service in the Burma Campaign from 11th December 1941
Italy Star Operational Service in Italy,Greece,Sicily,Yugoslavia,the Aegean any time between 11th June 1943 and 8 May 1945
Africa Star Operational Service in N.Africa from 10 June 1940 to 12 May 1943
1939-45 Star Awarded to personnel serving 6 months in specified operational commads overseas.Between September 3rd 1939 and Augusy 1945. Any service curtailed by death,injury or capture also qualified.
1939-45 War Medal All fulltime service personnel serving at least 28 days between 3 September 1939 and September 1945.
Defence Medal Awarded to service personnel for three years home service or 6 months service overseas in territories subject to air attack or otherwise threatened
