August 2002  Well I'm sure your all up to speed with the project so far. An Article in the LROi August 2002 has spurned me on again. The Article features a Jaguar powered Hybrid  S1 with custom made Chassis and elongated bodywork. It was all fitted to a manual SD1 rover box so as different again to Percy which uses the Jag box. What was frightening was the suggestion it would do 130 mph and that it delivered 240 b.h.p. at 4000 rpm on the same engine as Percy..WOW ! what have we done…. The S1 featured has coil springs a distinct advantage along with disk brakes. Since I last updated the site I've fitted some LR seats … almost completed the centre tunnel and floor fixtures. I've found a 90 Bonnet from Roy (alt.fan.landrover) and fitted it. I've also fitted the washer bottle but it is a little too close to the manifolds … smell it !  So a heat shield will be fitted. Err.. New washer jets… and I bought it out of the garage in search of some shackles so while it was out under it's own steam I took a few more digi cam snaps below.  Enjoy! The first two are a before and after shot of the new front end. I have about  10 jobs to do at an estimate 35 workshop hours. Were getting there slowly!
