TPADS is a Stage Society based (as its name suggests) in the village of Thringstone in North West Leicestershire. It is a non-profit making organisation which exists to provide entertainment to the local community. Starting as a 'Pantomime' Society (see below), the group went on to produce plays and comedy revues, and, in recent years, 'hollywood-type' musicals.
We do not profess to be a musical or choral society in the 'traditional' sense - our repertoire is much broader but we do put in a lot of hard work and (we are told) put on excellent shows which are great fun to do, and which our local audiences appreciate greatly! Our 'main' show is a traditional comedy pantomime which we stage every January and which is usually a sell-out.
For example, our January 2000 Pantomime was 'Mother Goose'.
Not only was this the first pantomime of the 'New Millennium'
but it also marked the 25th Anniversary of the Society.
To see some photos of this show, plus photos and news about many
of our other shows, click on 'Show Buttons' in the box above. The
group also stages a show in May usually a musical or a
musical revue, but sometimes a comedy play.
Year 2003
Our 2003 Pantomime - 'Treasure Island' - was one of the best yet. Children, particularly, enjoyed the slapstick comedy and the pirates, Roger & Pugh, and Long John Silver. (I have this on very good authority from my 4-year-old grand-daughter Olivia)!
Our 2003 May production was a fantastic night of musical entertainment - 'Thank You for the Music'.

We are now preparing for 2004 - see What's New
2002 Productions
Our 2002 Pantomime was 'HANSEL & GRETEL'. This particular pantomime had not been performed by the Society before and proved a great success. Click the links at the top of the page for photographs etc.
Our Spring 2002 musical was 'Guys and Dolls' which received some excellent reviews. Again, click the link for photos.
