CS2 Framer Interface Instructions

Before running the script you should always set the foreground and background colours in Photoshop.Foreground colour = Frame colourBackground colour = Matte colourTo run the script, first load your picture then navigate to the menu >File >Scripts >Mikes Framer CS2

Text SectionAdd Signature: Tick checkbox to activate. Specify the font name from the drop down menu. Select whether to add drop shadow to text. Enter the point size for the font and select the color of your choice from the drop down menu. Enter the text you require to be printed in the signature field. Enter any offsets you require to line up the text. Using H Offset, a negative number moves text to the left and a positive number moves it to the right. Using V Offset, a negative number moves the text up and a positive number moves it down. Ticking the Vertical Signature Text checkbox results in the text being printed vertically. Add Title: Tick checkbox to activate. The options are the same as for Signature, minus the vertical checkbox option. If the Caps option is selected, the title is displayed in small caps, with tracking of 300. Some people prefer the title displayed this way. Try it and see. Add Exif Info: Tick checkbox to activate. The main options are the same as for Signature. If exif info and image name is available it will be shown. Tick the checkboxes as required. |

Constrain PhotoTick checkbox to enable/disable resizing of picture. Enter the overall size of the longest edge of your picture in pixels you want your processed image to be, this includes frames and mattes. Regardless of whether your picture is portrait or landscape, it will be proportioned correctly. Tick Percentage checkbox if you wish to resize by percentage. Tick Resize using short side checkbox to resize using the shortest side if the picture. Enter the overall size of the shortest edge of your picture in pixels you want your processed image to be, or use percentage option. Unsharp MaskTick the checkbox if you wish to apply unsharp mask to your photo. Set the Amount, Radius and Threshold as needed. Frame ConfigurationTick the checkbox to enable/disable frame . Set the pixel size as required. Inner Shadow Ticking this option will produce an inner shadow to the frame, if the frame option is selected. Enter the size and distance of the required shadow. Frame Style From the drop down menu choose from several preset frame styles or choose Palette Color to produce a frame from your color choice (set foregroung color in photoshop). You can add preset bevels over this choice if you require. Matte ConfigurationTick the checkbox to enable/disable frame . Set the pixel size as required. Tick Percentage checkbox if you wish to resize by percentage. (Limited to 35% if using even matte and 25% if using add weight to bottom.) Evenly matte all sides All sides of the chosen matte will be equal. Matte bottom x2 The bottom section of the matte will be double size while the top and sides will be equal. Matte bottom x3 The bottom section of the matte will be triple size while the top and sides will be equal. Style From the drop down menu choose from several preset matte styles.
When selected all the different matte styles open option windows for the particular style. Most of the options are straight forward. Just experiment and enjoy. Miscellaneous OptionsFlatten Layers Choose whether to flatten image after processing. DPI Select this option to change the DPI of your photo from the dropdpwn box. sRGB Convert to sRGB profile. Use saved colors Whenever you save a config for this script, the foreground/background colours selected in Photoshop at the time are saved with it. If this option is selected, each time the config is run, it will use those saved colours rather than anything that may be set in Photoshop. If it is not selected, each time it is run, it will use the colours specified in Photoshop. Use copyright from document property as signature. (if it exists) Use the copyright in the document info if one exists, or the supplied one in the signature field if not. Use title from document property. (if it exists) Use the title in the document info for the caption, if one exists, or the supplied one in the title field if not. Save / Load / Last Used / Save Batch / Save DefaultWhen you run the script it will load the default values from a text file. These are preset from the start. If you want to make alterations to the default, then run the script, change any options you want to, signature etc, then click on the "Save Default" button. Then each time you run the script it will load your defaults. You can also set up the options in the script for various situations and save as many different configs as needed. Just set up the options and click Save. Remember to name them so you will remember what they are and always add the .txt extension to the end. e.g. Red Frame.txt Myframe.txt Holidaypics.txt You can then load any of the extra configs you save by clicking the Load button and selecting the one you want. The Last Used button will load the settings used when the script was last run. If you set up options in the script and click the "Save Batch" button, it will save them to a special file that is used by the batch script. See Batch Instructions |
