Loading the Patterns

Click on the Edit menu then select "Preset Manager" (image on left)

This will open the window shown below.

1) Click here and select Patterns.

2) Click to open a drop down list. Select "Mikes Framer".

3)Click here to finish.

You have now loaded the correct patterns for the actions.

Using the actions

Choose either Mikes Frames or Mikes Mattes.

Set your foreground color to the color you want the matte to be. (not needed in the case of Overlay Matte).

Double click the matte of choice, and follow instructions given.

You are also given the option to extend the bottom of the matte so you have room to add a title, signature etc yourself. (see further down this page for extra detail.)

User Input

You should also do this when using the Palette Color Frame in the frame actions.

Whatever size you decide on, double it to allow for both sides.

Leave the anchor point as it is.

This window will also appear when you use "Mikes Frames".

Enter the frame width in the same way.

Usually you would enter the matte size you chose. (Do not double it in this case)

Set the anchor point to top center.

If you do not want a matte extension set both Width and Height to 0.
