The tree after trimming and a piece that was removed during the trimming - its 18 years since I last had a go. |

Digging out the roots was hard work. |

But finally its all clear and time to move some soil around from the front. |

Starting would be better with drain cocks on the cylinder, Pearl only has one on the feed steam pipe and relies on the slide valves lifting to let out water. If I fit drain cocks then they will have to be robust and not get caught and ripped off on a local rock. |

Filling displacement lubricator is a skill. The pump is now working as I expected it just needed runnnig in over 10 hours or so. The lubricator is from Roundhouse for 10 GBP and keeps it going for long enough, probably too much oil but better more than less. |

When you need to move something heavy like a battery a railway is excellent, here Pearl helps move the Corsa battery to the recharger - its what every AA man should have to make his job simple. |

Its nice to have rest from dgging whilst the pressure comes up. |

Now the soil is moving I can expose the rubble under the track and finish the foudation. |
