| Now the difficult part - how to hide a railway under a block paving drive - current solution is to use decking supported on blocks. So I am using the second hand materials on site to build a working prototype to see how it works. I hope that this type of construction will be good enough to allow me to excavate the run of the rails with the hard core underneath and cars driving over top. Once the rail is in place I can then have railway access and use this to excavate the surrounding area and fill with hardcore. The main limitation on progress is the current mehtod of making the hard core form the concrete block ie me with a 3/4 size sledge hammer - its satisfying but slow. I have tried but cannot find a suitable size of rock crusher - I can get one to do 200 Ton / hr as they are common but I want a small, cheap version even hand powered. |
