You may have noticed that many of our local history books have been published on behalf of other organisations or individuals.

If you are interested in having a book published by us on your behalf, we will be happy to discuss the project with you. Please note that we do make a few stipulations:

• the subject-matter must be of local (to Oxfordshire) or of historical interest and should appeal to the general reader. We reserve the right to decline the job if it does not seem to fit our portfolio.

• we will wish to have a substantial say in the creative side of the project - content and size decisions are yours but the design and overall look of the book will be ours. We also reserve the right to correct spelling and grammar and apply our standard styles to abbreviations, titles etc

• we will prepare text, pictures and the final artwork and have the book printed for you at our choice of printers and bill you for print costs plus an artwork charge based on number of pages, complexity of picture processing etc. We will give you an estimated cost for this.

• we will deal with postal distribution and local bookshop deliveries for a small nominal cost per book

• the book will have a Pie Powder Press ISBN number and be advertised with our other books

Please note: we are fully booked until mid-2007.
