This scholarly book is
the most comprehensive history of Benson ever published. It
examines the landscape, the buildings and, above all, the people
who have shaped the character of the village for more than a
millennium.
The editor is Dr Kate
Tiller, formerly Reader in English Local History at Oxford
University. She has tutored evening classes on the history of
Benson for the University's Department for Continuing Education
and has published studies on Benson, Ewelme and
Dorchester-on-Thames. She lives at Rokemarsh, historically part
of Benson.
