What is Korfball ?

Korfball is a mixed team sport. There are 4 men and 4 women in each team. It involves two baskets and a ball. To the un-initiated it looks a little like mixed-sex netball.
It is characterised by players moving around the pitch in pairs, comprising an attacker with his/her personal opponent. Rapid changes of speed and direction, combined with good teamwork, are required for the attacker to break free from his/her opponent and receive the ball to shoot.
