This photo breaks more than one of the so-called rules of composition (the camera looks down on instead of up at the child, and he is positioned right in the middle of the picture) but, as the aim was to show him hiding in the surrounding grass, this still works well. Rules, they say, are made to be broken - but only if you know what you're doing.
