Eirwen first got involved in the voluntary sector in Wales through the local Cylch Meithrin (Welsh Language Playgroup). Since then she has undertaken many roles both as a volunteer and paid employee and has tackled most of the tasks associated with setting up and managing voluntary organisations including policy development, research, funding applications and promoting good practice in a range of settings.
Eirwen works with organisations undertaking consultancy, training and research on a freelance basis. Eirwen is able to work through the medium of Welsh and she works with associates to fulfill bigger contracts.
Areas of particular expertise:-
Volunteering - Policy and practice development including the interface between volunteers and paid staff
Welsh Language - Developing Language schemes, language awareness training.
Mentoring - Setting up mentoring schemes. Eirwen is herself a trained work based mentor.
Research - Quantitative and qualitative research, feasibility studies.
Newsletters - Writing, editing, layout, production.
Biography-Born and brought up near Cardiff and educated in a Welsh medium school and Exeter University, Eirwen returned to Wales in the early 1980s and has been involved in various aspects of the voluntary, community and Arts sector ever since.
Eirwen is also involved in the Arts and works as a professional storyteller;
she brings a highly creative approach to her work.
