The Curriculum
Your child will benefit from being in a small class and will follow a broad-based, well structured curriculum which gives a thorough grounding in the National Curriculum core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science.
The teaching staff at Acorn are fully qualified and number amongst them specialists in Physical Education, Science, Music, French and Geography.
Science
Acorn has excellent resources for science. The children are taught throughout the school by specialist teachers, who share not only their experience, but also the enthusiasm for the subject.
French
We believe in the value of early language training. A language specialist teaches French to all children in the school.
Music
Music plays a prominent part in the life of Acorn children. A specialist teacher works with all age groups. They enjoy singing, percussion, recorders and have the opportunity to learn the piano. Our school choir participates in events throughout the year.
