About This Station
The station is powered by a Watson 1080 weather station. The data is collected every 60 seconds and the site is updated every 5 minutes. This site and its data is collected using Weather Display Software. The station comprises of an anemometer, rain gauge and a thermo-hydro sensor situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy possible. The weather station sends the data wirelessly to an LCD panel in the house, this panel in turn is connected to the computer. Weather Display then does all the work. Weather Display Live is an additional program which displays nearly live data on the web page.
Where are we
We are situated in Weybourne which is a small village just outside Farnham in Surrey, on the border with Hampshire. We are about 10 Miles from Guildford. We are within site of the end of the North downs a hill known as The Hoggs Back, the proximity of the Hoggs back does have some influence on the local Weather.
Future Plans
Keep checking back as I hope to be making tweaks and improvements to the site, such as adding Mesomaps and satelite images. Also in the future I hope to add lightening data. In the meantime another excellent site showing thunderstorm and lightening data can be found at Isle of Wight Weather.
