Leeds City Council Allotments Amenities Competition

• Allotment gardeners should make sure their entries are in?
• Allotment gardeners in Leeds should make sure they are entered into the Leeds City Council Allotments Amenities Competition; entries will be accepted up until the 30 th June 2005. The competition is organised and administered by the Leeds & District Gardeners Federation. The judging will take place on the 12th, 13th & 14 th July 2005.

  The ‘Best Newcomer’, a category that was new in 2004, was won last year by a remarkable lady called Mary Dwight from Hayleys Field Allotments. She had only been gardening for a matter of months yet her plot was absolutely immaculate and an excellent example of what can be achieved over a short period of time.
