Aggony CodeAll members must; behave honestly and with integrity, treat everyone with respect and courtesy, and without harassment or prejudice when acting as a messenger or representative of Aggony, comply with any reasonable direction given by a senior member who has authority to give the direction at all times behave in a way that upholds the integrity and good reputation of Aggony. §1 Clan structure The Brotherhood of Aggony is ruled by a democratic council consisting of all full members. A full member means any member who has completed the 1pain1-apprentice process and been rewarded with the right to wear the 'Aggony'-tag. A council appointed leader acts as the chairman of the council. He is also the leader of the 'executive branch' of the clan, consisting of the leader, his vice-leader, the two main trainers, emissaries, forum admins and the webmaster. §2 The Council The council is the primary decision making organ of the clan. Decisions are made through a majority vote, either after a 5 day voting time or earlier, if a clear majority of the clan is behind the decision. The council decides the the Clan Leader by vote and has the right to remove from office any member of the executive branch, including the Clan Leader. The council also has the deciding role concerning new recruits, their mentors, changes in the Aggony Code, diplomatic matters with other clans and allies and other propositions regarding the clan. A member of the council has the right to create his own propositions. §3 The Clan Leader The Clan Leader acts as the chairman of the Council and as the leader of the 'executive branch' of the clan. He has the right to appoint members of the executive branch, meaning his vice-leader, the two main trainers, tournament captains, emissaries and forum admins. He is responsible for giving the clan direction. He is elected on an annual basis through an election organised at the start of March each year. §4 The Vice Leader Appointed by the Leader, he is tasked in assisting the Clan Leader and taking over the responsibilities of the Clan Leader during a prolonged absence. Prolonged absence means any absence longer than a week. §5 The Emissaries Appointed by the Leader, their exact numbers are decided by perceived need. Their primary role is acting as the official representative for the clan in matters concerning other clans and organisations, and upholding our relations with them. They will not be the primary time negotiators for tournaments, as the Tournament captain is better suited for that task and it takes away an extra wheel in the negotiations, thus simplifying the negotiations. They will act as ambassadors of good will and act as messengers for the council in diplomatic matters. §6 The Main Trainer Both are appointed by the Leader. Their tasks are to train new recruits and to create and maintain a 'Tactical Guidebook' in the for their respective branches. The 'Tactical Guidebook' will involve general guidelines, fleet/army selections, map-specific tactics for 1v1's, 2v2's, 3v3's and 4v4's, tactical tips and tricks and, if necessary, unit specific tips. Additional content can be added and should be added if it is deemed necessary. Their tasks regarding recruits are important. They will go through the more advanced training with the recruit and are responsible for testing the recruits in their 'Aggony-test'. §7 The Forum Admins Their task is maintaining the forum and moderating it; creating new sections and giving/removing access rights. Appointed by the Leader as well, but are with the Webmaster the only members of the executive branch that are not replaced annually. They are appointed and replaced according to need by the Leader. §8 The Webmaster His task is maintaining and updating the website. Not replaced annually. Can replaced by the Council, if it is absolutely necessary. §9 The 1pain1-apprentices The apprentice are accepted to the clan by the council. They will be assigned to a council-appointed Mentor. This mentor will be responsible for training the apprentice in both on- and off-field conduct and basic tactics. Additionally he should strive to share his knowledge with his apprentice. The mentor can also feel free to give the Apprentice challenges, as long as he views them to serve a pedagogical purpose. The Master Trainers are responsible for the more advanced training of the recruits. Their emphasis is on advanced tactics and teamwork, while the mentor concentrates more on basic tactics and army selection, and overall spirit, attitude and behaviour. The apprentice will remain as such until the Mentor feels that he is ready to become an Aggony in both conduct and knowledge. When the Mentor states that he is ready, then he will face his evaluation, which is three games each with both of the Master Trainers. These three games will be free for the Master Trainers to choose and can be anything from 1v1's to larger team games. The idea is to see enough maturity to reward the player with full membership, which means that he will gain the right to wear the Aggony tag and to vote in the council. Additionally the Master Trainers should post brief reports of the evaluation battles. The earliest an evaluation can take place is three weeks after the apprentice has been accepted into the clan. §10 Tournament Captains Tournament Captains are appointed by the Leader for each 3v3 or 4v4 tournament. He has full dictatorial power over matters concerning the tournament and the team. He will be responsible for negotiations, training and team performance. He can be removed from office by either the Council or the Leader if there is a perceived need.
