The Creation and the following months
Aggony, officially Aggony of Pain, was founded October 2001 as a Shogun Total War Clan by AggonyAce and AggonyDannibal, both former Shadow Clan members. The same day AggonyShadow, AggonyViking and AggonyKasuga joined the clan. Some others joined the clan also, but they faded away rather fast. Our first recruit was 1pain1Grizz, he got a long and harsh training before he became AggonyGrizzly. Other recruits didn't survive the training or just gave up. By the end of October 2001 AggonyKasuga created a website for the clan. The introduction period of the Mongol Invasions expansion was a period of chaos and uncertainty. Some clans shifted to MI overnight, leaving behind those who didn't own MI to rot away. A few clans didn't survive this. Aggony choose to stay on original STW until all, or at least most members, got hold of MI. This period of decline and confusion made Aggony strong and steadfast. Together with the newly formed Prophecy Holders Clan (Insanes) and later on the 7Bear7 clan we ruled STW for a while.
The HABA awards
December 2001/ January 2002 Aggony won 2 awards: AggonyAce "Best newcomer”, Aggony “Most admired new clan" .
We slowly moved over to MI January 2002. Some clan members choose to stay on STW, others returned to STW regularly to support our clan members over there and to meet our beloved friends and allies who stayed on STW. On MI we made the mistake to take new members too fast. This caused some problems. We just grew too fast. Members left as fast as they joined, undermining the clan spirit. Our boss, AggonyAce, couldn't handle the problems anymore and stepped down early April 2002 to take a break and to concentrate on his school work. AggonyViking took over command for the time being. In an emotional four hour clan meeting AggonyKasuga stepped forward to take over command. This was approved by the clan, AggonyKasuga became the new Aggony leader. AggonyAce, relieved from his clan duties, became "Guardian" and honourable member.
Days of Recovery
With renewed faith and confidence Aggony recovered. We trained our last recruits and re-established our virtues and clan spirit. Some who didn't fit in the clan "left" us, leaving only those who are dedicated and loyal to Aggony and all we stand for. With the lessons we learned from the past and our problems solved, we became a sturdy and mature clan. We established a good clan structure and divided tasks to match individual skills.
A Sad Event
AggonyKasuga asked AggonyViking to leave the clan, because of a different point of view on behaviour and clan relations. A very sad event, because they both joined Aggony the same day and were close friends (July 2002) .
The Dark Ages
The weeks before the introduction of Medieval Total War (July and August 2002) were hard for all clans. Both the STW and MI/WE servers were down most of the time. Some clans died or dwindled. Aggony survived without damage.
The Aggony Council
August 2002 Aggony introduced a council of 3 elected councillors to help the clanleader manage the clan. The councillors are appointed for 6 months. The first council: AggonyCougar, AggonyGrizz and AggonyValkyria.
Medieval Total War
August / September 2002 The introduction of MTW, we waited long for this. The dawn of a new era! A challenge for our clan, but also...a hard time. Not all clan members got hold of it yet. Others have to upgrade their PC to play it.
Total War Meeting
Saturday September 21st 2002 The Hague, The Netherlands. Organised by AggonyKasuga. This meeting was attended by some of the most famous Total War players like : AggonyKasuga, AggonyNaak, AggonyValkyria, AggonyKatsuchiyo, Magyarkhan, Kocmoc, Darealruler, DRB, 7Bear7Blade and Fucy, Futhermore Val and Naak stayed in the Hague for a few days.
Aggony 1 Year
October 2002 The Aggony clan celebrated it's 1st birthday. AggonyTerror joins Aggony in October. AggonyKasuga resigned as Aggony boss. November 2002 No new boss was elected, the Council will be in charge.
The second Council
November 2002 When AggonyKasuga resigned as the clanleader AggonyCougar left the clan. AggonyKiller was elected as a new Counsil member. AggonyGrizz, AggonyValkyria and AggonyKiller form the second Council. The
Return of a Legend
November 2002 AggonyShimazu2 returned to Aggony after a long absence. Aggony Castle is all the sudden a far more lively place. (A messenger from next door Rage Castle already complained about the noise) AggonyBetou joins Aggony in November .
Be a Sam on Sunday!
December 2002 The rise of MTW was the downfall of WE/MI. The old STW server was shut down by EA, so those who prefer the samurai warfare above medieval warfare moved to the MI/WE server. To support our members and friends who still play "Shoggy" and to honour our past...We started to promote MI/WE and asked the medieval guys to play MI/WE on Sunday. Many pollished their rusty katanas and are Sunday Sams now. This usually occurs at 7pm onwards, Every sunday,gmt.
Old Friends...New Ally
December 2002 We are honoured by a new alliance! Clan Shinkage We will stand by their side when needed and treat them as our brothers.
AggonyKasuga Clanleader Again
January 2003 After some rest and recreation AggonyKasuga once again became clanleader. AggonyLynx resigned as clanmember because of this.
The Third Council
In January 2003 with the return of AggonyKasuga a new council was formed. AggonyAce, AggonyValkyria and AggonyGrizz .
Sad Event
January 15th 2003 12:52 am AggonyKasuga Departs the Aggony Clan. very quickly followed by Grizz and Ace. All three join Fearful Ways. It saddened all members of Aggony. But Aggony holds strong.

January 18th 2003 New Council is Formed
Consisting of AggonyKiller, AggonyValkyria, AggonyKnight. The new Council now reshaping Aggony and assuring the remaining 11 members that they are diligent and loyal to Aggony vowing to remain strong and steadfast in the persuit of keeping the AggonyClan Alive. January 26th 2003 AggonyVal and Naak host the website at new location with new Ez board forum and looking towards the future.
Aggony Flourishing
July 2003 A good 6 months has past. And a lot has happened in Aggony. (too much too mention). With the Arrival of Viking Invasion, we started to recruit again. AggonyDuck, AggonyYoguish, AggonyGazza, join Aggony . In the spring of 03. We are very active on viking, And are always up for a game. but also even better news is that we are still a very active clan on WE/MI. The Aggony council consisted of the following. AggonyNaak, AggonyArcher, AggonyKnight. Also we have started to enter tournaments again. AggonyAnskarr joins Aggony may03. We recently took part in the Blood Chapter Tourney. in which we had great fun. Which is what total war is all about. AggonyGladius and AggonyzzClawzz join Aggony. Aggony enters the CWC fall tourney 2003, and is drawn against Celtibero . We loose a very hard fought match 2-1. It is a great time for Aggony as at least we have taken part in our first tourney in VI. Archer takes a break from council duties, and is replaced with Katsuchiyo to strengthen the MI voice in Aggony. Katsuchiyo was honoured to take his place on the council.
Total War Meeting 2003
On November 8th 2003 in Blackpool, The total war meeting was held . AggonyYoguish shows great determination to organise the meeting , with the help of 7Bear7Scar. A great time was had by all. Those who attended were, 7Bear7Blade, 7Bear7scar, Wolf_Druid, Kas, AggonyGazza, Majestic Soul, VKC Drakul and VKC Karsh , AggonyYoguish and her mum .
Balamir and Rom Join Aggony
They enter and win the ITL 2003 tourney hosted by RTK. For those not familiar with this new tourney, ITL stands for...... international trainee league, and is open to total war clans new recruits . It is Aggony’s first ever tourney win!!!!! All members are very proud of them. Aggony entered in the CWC winter tourney, and the CWB also.
7Bear& Aggony are Allies
December 2004.We are pleased to announce that we are now allies with 7Bear7, as we have been great friends with them for a few years now. Balamir and Rom become full Aggony members. Sadly we have to announce that our good friends, clan Shinkage are no longer our allies. this saddens Aggony, but it is Shinkage’s choice as they head into the future .
Shodan joins Aggony
AggonyzzClawzz leaves Aggony in Jan 04. We wish him well for the future. We accept a new recruit, 1pain1Shodan at the end of Jan 04.
A sad month
In February 2004 AggonyShimazu2 and AggonyAnskarr choose to leave Aggony because of different opinions about how the clan should deal with the MI section. The loss of these two members made was felt in the halls of Aggony.
The forming of BoA: Call of Duty
During the spring Aggony decides to branch out to Call of Duty. The clan members that formed CoD were Kats, Falcon, Gazza, Naak, Val and Archer. But this also dropped the activity level of Aggony to very low in the months to follow.
Activity starts to rise again
During late April we recruit a new member, Raven. Also several of our members decided to put CoD aside and venture back to the Dark Ages. This resulted in a rise of activity in the clan.
Sad times, again….
At the start of June 2004 the backbone of Aggony, Naak and Val decide to leave the clan to get more time with their family. Before them one of our most promising players, AggonyBalamir also left the clan. This left Aggony in a terrible state. Our website was lost and the council was dissolved because a member leaving. But at this time AggonyFalcon stepped forward to take the leadership and the clan agreed to his claim of leadership. But Falcon left the clan on the 28th of June, this time leaving the clan almost totally clueless. Falcon was a dear friend of everyone. Falcon left AggonyDuck in charge, but the clan chose that a council would be a more stable and steadier way of leading the clan. So a new council election started.
A new council is formed on the 12th of July
The members of Aggony elected a new council that was formed by AggonyBetou, AggonyArcher and AggonyDuck. The council will try it’s best to serve Aggony and will try to get Aggony flourishing again. Also we are pleased to say that AggonyBalamir decided to rejoin the clan and that we’ve got back one of our best players.
